Mueller rifle scope profitabilaty?
I have the opportunity to buy a handful of mueller scopes that are factory seconds. These scopes have an msrp of up to 229. I don’t know much about scopes or guns which is why I’m asking here. What would someone be wiling to pay for a scope that has some sort of defect? The defects vary from having some sort of condensation problem which makes the lense fog up to having a reticle (the target lines in the scope) that is rotated a little too far one way or another. They have all sorts of defects, so I’m wondering what I could sell them for if I sold them as-is.
the models of the scopes vary, they are mostly Mueller Tactical or Sport Dot 4-16x50ao.
I wouldn’t consider buying a scope with a condensation problem or a misaligned reticle. In fact, I wouldn’t accept a scope with these problems if it were given to me for free. These scopes are defective, not just blemished factory seconds. Don’t waste your money on them, you’ll have a hard time moving them, and will probably make some enemies, not friends, trying to resell them.
