my builder wants to open my bathroom door outwards for safety reason this will then openinwards on to a kitche?

this will then open door out wards onto a kitchen with cooking going on

first off check with local building codes for bath and kitchen clearences.
second a pocket door needs a wall space more than twice the size of the door and if you have a load bearing wall you’ll need to put a header in above the door frame plusadd six inches to the reccomended r.o. for dblrs.
